Yes, we’re finally here. Welcome to www.kimdalferes.com, Internet home of Kim Dalferes, author. Well, not just author. This is also the Internet home of Kim Dalferes mother, wife, daughter, Virginian (and Floridian), and gal pal. My hope is that this little project of ours; “I Was In Love With a Short Man Once,” is about so much more than just selling books (though buying books is VERY MUCH appreciated!). I also hope that this will be a place where we will talk about any and all things important to, and silly about, women. Trust me, having just today endured the annual mammogram ritual, I’m hungry to commiserate with the sisterhood about this torturous, yet albeit extremely important ordeal (there has just got to be a better way).
I promise I will work hard to create and nurture a space where we can discuss any and all things that are impacting our lives: climate change and Spanx (revolutionary under-garment, or really just a new term for girdle?) and empty-nest syndrome (am I wrong to actually miss laundry day?) Fellas, I hope you will also join in the fun and chime in too and please keep us from drifting too much into blaming-the-boys-for-everything territory. Your opinions also matter (bless your hearts).
Can’t conclude without a HUGE shout-out to Sara Mesa and her team at Proadvantage for their wonderful design of our website. Prodvantage is one of my favorite woman-owned small businesses. Sara’s support and care of this project has been remarkable. And of course a final shout-out to husband Greg, who, as I’ve said many times, knew I was crazy southern Irish; and married me anyway.
